Card Vault IQ Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Card Vault IQ collects, uses, shares, retains and deletes information when you use the Card Vault IQ application, website and related services.
Information we collect
Card Vault IQ may collect account information such as your email address and profile name; card photos and other images you upload; collection records, card metadata, notes, valuations, listings and messages you create; profile images; and technical or analytics information generated when you use the service. Authentication may be provided by Base44 or third-party identity providers such as Google. We do not intentionally store your plaintext password.
How we use information
We use information to authenticate users, operate your collection, process scans, identify and grade cards, estimate market values, maintain listings and messages, provide customer support, secure the service, diagnose problems, improve product performance, and comply with legal obligations.
AI processing
When you use scanning, identification, grading or valuation features, relevant card images and card metadata may be processed by AI services and supporting data services used by Card Vault IQ through the Base44 platform. AI results are estimates and should be reviewed before relying on them for a purchase, sale, grading decision or appraisal.
Payments
Web purchases may be processed by Stripe. Payment processors receive the payment information needed to complete transactions. Card Vault IQ may retain payment status, customer identifiers, transaction identifiers and limited billing records, but does not need to store your full payment-card number. Google Play purchases, when offered in the Google Play build, are handled under the applicable Google Play billing rules.
Sharing
We share information only as needed with service providers that help operate Card Vault IQ, such as hosting, authentication, analytics, AI processing, storage and payment providers; when you intentionally publish information to marketplace features; when required by law; or when necessary to protect users, Card Vault IQ or others from fraud, abuse or security threats. We do not sell your personal information as a standalone data product.
Data retention
We keep account and collection information while your account is active and as reasonably necessary to provide the service. When an account is deleted, account-linked application data is deleted or de-identified as applicable. Limited transaction, security, fraud-prevention or legal records may be retained where required by law or reasonably necessary to resolve disputes and enforce agreements.
Your choices and deletion rights
You can request deletion from Profile → Delete Account while signed in. You can also initiate deletion from our public account-deletion page even if the app is no longer installed. We may verify account ownership before completing an external request.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Children
Card Vault IQ is a general collector application and is not designed to knowingly solicit personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If we learn that information was collected in a way that requires parental consent and that consent was not obtained, we will take appropriate steps to remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Card Vault IQ changes. Material updates will be reflected by changing the effective date on this page and, when appropriate, through additional notice.
